US-based snack company NightFood is reporting that it has reached a definitive acquisition agreement for Hook Marketing and Fiber One branded ice cream producer and distributor Suffield Foods.
Hook Marketing was granted a license by General Mills to produce Fiber One probiotic ice cream, launched in April, operating through its subsidiary Suffield Foods.
NightFood produces snack bars such as Midnight Chocolate Crunch and Cookies & Dreams, and aims “to help consumers satisfy nighttime cravings in a better, healthier, more sleep friendly way”.
“We believe this deal with Suffield represents a tremendous opportunity…to help make Fiber One™ ice cream available to retailers and consumers across the country”, said NightFood CEO Sean Folkson.
Suffield Foods CEO Frank Everett added: “With Fiber One™ ice cream, we’re delivering a unique set of benefits to the consumer and the retailer. This transaction will allow us access to the capital we need to manufacture, distribute, and support Fiber One™ ice cream at retail”.
