Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe, a baker of bread and roll products, has announced plans to invest $123.2 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Chambersburg, Franklin County (PA), generating at least 127 jobs over the next five years.
Established in 1955, Martin’s Famous Pastry Shoppe is known for producing bread, potato bread, swirl potato bread, potato rolls, hoagie rolls, and Potatobred soft cubed stuffing.
The expansion will add roughly 295,000 sq ft to the manufacturing plant, along with new production line, a cold dock / freezer, and an electric substation.
Commenting on the move, Martin’s president Tony Martin said: “We are very excited to be growing our business and expanding our bakery in our hometown of Chambersburg. Our amazing employees, supportive community, and loyal customers are helping us to create good American jobs and to expand our market area throughout the US and around the world”.
