Kraft Heinz, the third-largest food and beverage company in the USA, has announced the launch of Fruitlove, a new brand of smoothie that can be eaten with a spoon.
Said to combine the benefits of creamy yogurt and real fruit and vegetables, Fruitlove Spoonable Smoothie comes in single-serve plastic pots and is said to provide a source of protein, calcium and vitamins A, B1 and B3.
“We know that snacking is both functional and emotional and Americans want more from the foods they snack on – more flavour, nutrition and a better overall taste experience”, said Nicole Kulwicki, head of brand building at Fruitlove. “Fruitlove was born from the idea that we could create a better and more exciting way to snack on smoothies”.
Fruitlove Spoonable Smoothie is available in Strawberry Banana Twirl, Harvest Berry Blend, Mango Medley, Pineapple Coconut Bliss and Blueberry Dream varieties in the yogurt aisle of grocery stores across the USA, as well as through selected Amazon Fresh locations, for an RRP of $1.99.
Kraft Heinz’s new launch follows the introduction of a “spoonable smoothie” by rival Dole earlier in 2019.
