Gerber, one of the leaders in the US baby food market, has introduced its latest product which is said to “help babies learn to chew and make transition to table food easier”.
Gerber 3rd Foods Lil’ Bits recipes are said to be based on “a unique and revolutionary cooking method” that produces “perfectly-sized soft pieces to help babies master the essential chewing developmental milestone”. The new line is described as the result of an investment of over $100 million in technology and the work of 80 experts who have discovered that “introducing pureed foods with soft pieces at this time allows children to explore multiple textures before transitioning fully to solid, table foods”.
Aileen Stocks, Chief Marketing Officer, commented: “Our new recipe provides the perfect solution for parents to help their babies develop the necessary chewing skills to transition to table food”.
The new line comes in plastic tubs and in a choice of 10 varieties: Apple Blueberry, Orchard Fruit Medley, Apple Banana, Banana Apple Strawberry, Pear Apple Berry, Island Fruit Blend, Banana Apple Mango, Mixed Carrots, Corn & Butternut Squash, Butternut Squash & Potato, and Sweet Potato Apple Carrot & Cinnamon.
