Dannon, the US subsidiary of Danone Group, is releasing a new variety of its Oikos Greek-style yogurt to meet increased demand for high-protein foods.
Supported by Cam Newton of the NFL, Oikos Triple Zero contains 15g of proteins and features three ‘zero’ claims: no added sugar, no artificial sweeteners and no fat. The product is aimed at changing the current market where yoghurt is disproportionately consumed by women as compared to men, Dannon said.
“There aren’t many great choices for protein snacks that also have other important nutrients”, commented Art D’Elia, Vice President of Marketing for Dannon. “As America’s largest yogurt maker, we have a commitment and an opportunity to help Americans live healthier lives through the food choices they make. Oikos Triple Zero does exactly that”.
Oikos Triple Zero comes in 5.3oz pots and in a choice of six flavours: Vanilla, Coconut Creme, Strawberry, Banana Creme, Mixed Berry and Peach.
