Bel Brands USA, the Chicago-based subsidiary of the French dairy giant Bel Group, has announced the launch of Babybel Pro, a new functional snack cheese range designed for health-conscious consumers. The new product line is being rolled out across the USA, marking the brand’s first venture into the functional dairy space.
Available in two varieties – Babybel Pro Protein and Babybel Pro Probiotics – the range is described as being high in protein and containing live and active cultures. Babybel Pro Protein provides 5g of protein per serving, while the Probiotics version is formulated to support digestive health. According to the company, both varieties maintain the brand’s signature mild taste and creamy texture.
Commenting on the launch, Melanie Nemoy, Babybel brand director at Bel Brands USA, said: “We know that today’s consumers are looking for more than just a snack; they want their food to work harder for them. Babybel Pro is a direct response to the growing demand for functional benefits like protein and probiotics in a convenient, portable format”.
