Mondelez is set to launch new on-the-go protein snacks under its Enjoy Life name in a bid to increase brand recognition, according to a report in Bakery & Snacks.
Claimed to be free from GMOs and allergens and rich in antioxidants, the new snacks have been developed to target consumers who snack at three specific time slots: 10:30am, 2:30pm and 9:30pm. The products are set to debut in the US in March with a view to subsequently being expanded internationally.
Speaking to Bakery & Snacks, Mondelez’s chief sales and marketing officer Joel Warady commented: “When our consumers see our brand, they know it’s going to be safe for them. Our goal is to reach ubiquity: any customers can find what they want”.
“Consumers are going to purchase products with cleaner ingredients, more unique and sophisticated flavours, and with more functionality”, he added.
The new protein snacks will be added to the existing Enjoy Life portfolio of biscuits and baking mixes.
