SHS Drinks is the latest company seeking to exploit World Cup fever as it unveils plans to launch a limited edition Brazilian flavour in 2014.
WKD Brazilian is the latest addition to the WKD portfolio of flavoured alcoholic beverages in the UK. Described as being inspired by the exotic carnival atmosphere of Brazil, it is claimed to be akin to a “party in a bottle”. WKD Brazilian will be available in both on-trade and off-trade and will be supported by an extensive promotional campaign.
WKD marketing director Debs Carter stated that “Brazil is renowned for its vibrant night and street life, especially at carnival time, and WKD Brazilian aims to capture this exotic party spirit in a bottle.” She continued: “All things Brazilian are very much of the moment as we head into 2014”. Consumer research so far has shown positive results with the product being well received, the company additionally claimed.
The limited edition packs will be available in 275ml and 70cl bottles, priced at £1.39 and £3.20 respectively.
