Dr. Oetker, the Germany-based food firm, is expanding its Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza range to offer new gluten-free options.
The product, which is being launched in countries including the UK, Austria and Germany, come in the varieties Mozarella and Salame. In the UK, the products will be made available int Iceland and Tesco stores this autumn with an RRP of £3.50 ($4.27).
Louise Beaumont, senior brand manager at Dr. Oetker Ristorante, said: “We saw an opportunity to share our fresh pizzeria taste with even more consumers, by developing a range of pizzas which are free from gluten… Consumers told us that they struggled to find a gluten-free pizza that really delivered on taste and quality so we’ve developed a range that offers the same fresh pizzeria taste our consumers know and love, but which now happens to be gluten free”.
