Nestle Waters. the bottled water division of the food and drinks giant, has invested 1.8 billion THB ($51.5 million) to open a new manufacturing and distribution hub for Nestle Pure Life in Surat Thani.
The new Surat Thani factory, the second for Nestle Waters in Thailand, is described as featuring advanced technology for an improvement of environmental performance and is designed to “distribute high-quality drinking water trusted for healthy hydration to consumers in 14 southern provinces and nationwide”.
The new 170,000 sq m facility produces Nestle Pure Life water in 0.33L, 0.6L, and 1.5L sizes, and includes a production area, warehousing, offices, and utility services.
The factory is said to feature advanced technology called VSEP (Vibratory Shear Enhanced Membrane Processing), that is aimed at increasing water recovery while reducing water consumption for the entire production process.
