Universal Robina, the Philippines-based food conglomerate, has purchased the New Zealand biscuit manufacturer Griffin’s for $700 million, Business Day reports. Griffin’s has around 800 employees and produces brands including Gingernuts, Cookie Bear, MallowPuffs and Nice & Natural from its two factories in Auckland.
