German dairy company Meggle has acquired its domestic peer Rucker as seeks to expand in the cheese category. Rucker is a leading producer of feta-like Hirtenkase and employs over 600 staff at its production facilities in Aurich and Wismar. The company generated a revenue of €500 million ($426 million) in 2024.
