Hain Celestial, the US organic and health foods manufacturer, has announced the “strategic acquisition” of the Welsh firm Clarks UK, a producer of natural sweeteners. Based in Newport, Clarks UK markets natural sweeteners including maple syrup, honey and carob, date and agave syrups under the Clarks name.
