San Miguel Pure Foods, the Philippine food manufacturer, has announced plans to open a new facility for ready-to-eat products in Santa Rosa, Laguna, by the first quarter of 2019.
One of the leading food companies in the Philippines, San Miguel markets brands including Magnolia, Purefoods, Tender Juicy, B-MEG, Monterey, Dari Creme and La Pacita.
In a statement, the company confirmed that the new facility would produce fully cooked viands and heat-and-serve meals, addressing the growing consumer demand for convenience foods. It will also yield products for export in the ready-to-eat format.
The expansion is one of a number of projects through which San Miguel Pure Foods is looking to increase its production capacity, the Philippine Star reports.
The new manufacturing unit will have a total surface area of 20,000 sq m.
