Mexican dairy company Grupo Lala has announced the creation of a division in the US under the name Lala US, to be headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
This decision, furthering the firm’s presence in the US market, comes after the $246 milliun acquisition of US-based Laguna Dairy in May. According to the source, the US arm will focus on the production of value-added products with a portfolio that includes brands such as Lala yogurt smoothies, Promised Land premium milk and cream products, Borden cultured products, Frusion smoothies, Skim Plus and Nordica cottage cheese.
Toby Purdy, chief marketing officer of Lala US, commented: “Our parent company, Grupo LALA, has a rich history that spans six decades, and LALA U.S. with our growing family of brands continues to add to that story. We strive to deliver innovative products that exceed consumer expectations from taste to nourishment”.
