Fraser and Neave, the Singapore-based brewing firm, has announced plans to invest 179.5 million MYR ($37.5 million) to build a dairy plant in Cambodia, with a focus on canned milk production.
In a statement, the firm said it intended to lease 32,200 sq m of land, build the facility, and procure machinery for the production of sweetened beverage creamer. The “strategic move” aligns with the organic evolution of the business, propelled by successful exports to Cambodia, it added.
Commenting on the investment, F&NHB chief executive officer Lim Yew Hoe said: “By localising operations in Cambodia, we aim to enhance our supply chain stability while also contributing to the local community through job creation. This expansion reflects our commitment towards sustainable growth and fostering positive socio-economic impact in the regions in which we operate”.
The plant is projected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026.
