Kerry, a leading food and food ingredients company, has announced the opening of a new facility in Charleville, Ireland for the manufacture of Cheestrings cheese snacks.
The state-of-the-art facility will increase production capacity by 50% and generate 60 jobs in the local community.
Commenting on the news, Kerry Group CEO Edmond Scanlon said: “Cheestrings has been a fantastic success story over the past 30 years and a great example of an innovative healthy snack product for everyday consumption. This new facility underpins the growth plans for Cheestrings and demonstrates our business’ commitment to the locality”.
Kerry Dairy Ireland CEO Pat Murphy added: “This investment in Charleville reflects our belief in Cheestrings and the bright future for the brand. As we cut the ribbon today, our commitment to quality, innovation, and community remains steadfast and we look forward to Cheestrings continued success and expansion”.
