US multinational retail corporation Walmart has launched a new service designed to make it easier for customers to collect goods they have purchased online.
According to the company website, the “Grab & Go” service allows the customer to place an order through Walmart’s online store and pick it up at any location equipped with one of 40 “lockers” designed for the purpose.
During the checkout process, the consumer chooses their most convenient location and, when the order is ready to be picked up, they receive an e-mail confirmation and 6-digit code which they can use to access their designated Grab&Go locker. Goods not collected within three days are returned.
This service is currently available in 11 stores and 9 cities across Ontario province: Mississauga, Oakville, Waterdown, Vaughan/ Maple, Georgetown, Milton, Burlington, North York, and Scarborough.
