Olymel, a leading Canadian processor of pork and poultry products, has announced the 100% acquisition of the Ontario-based poultry firm Pinty’s.
Specialising in fully cooked chicken and other related products, Pinty’s operates three processing plants, located in Port Colborne, Paris, and Oakville. The firm markets a range of coated and uncoated chicken products for the retail trade under brands such as Pinty’s , EatWell and Pub & Grill.
Olymel said the transaction would enable it to consolidate its position in Canada as the leader in the pork and poultry slaughtering and processing sector.
Commenting on the deal, Olymel president and CEO Réjean Nadeau said: “Olymel is confident that this transaction will benefit our development and growth. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
