Brazilian food conglomerate BRF has announced an investment in a new distribution centre to be built in the state of Parana, Brazil.
The new facility, located in the city of Londrina, represents an investment of R$80 million ($25 million) and will occupy an area of over 150,000 sq m, according to the company.
“The centre will be designed to receive up to 150 trucks per day, of different sizes, that will move up to 15 thousand tons of food per month”, BRF said.
The distribution centre will store items from company brands such as Perdigao, Sadia and Qualy with the aim of streamlining services to western Sao Paulo, southern Mato Grosso do Sul and Parana.
BRF already operates seven factories and two distribution centers in Parana. The new centre is expected to be completed by September 2018.
