Brazilian bakery firm Bauducco has announced that the company is investing R$10 million ($1.8 million) to expand its Alagoas facility by installing a new production line.
Starting this October, the Rio Largo factory, which opened in 2013, will produce the company’s panettone products Mini Panettones and Mini Chocottone. Both items are targeted at Christmas, which is Bauducco’s most important seasonal portfolio.
According to sources, this is a strategic investment that will meeting growing demand, create jobs and strengthen local supply chains .
The new line’s potential to output thousands of units per year will significantly impact Bauducco’s total production capacity. The Alagoas plant already features lines specialising in the manufacture of wafer biscuits.
Bauducco currently operates six manufacturing facilities across Brazil.
