Avon, the world’s leading direct sales cosmetics company, is expanding its social media presence in Brazil with the launch of a new virtual shop on Facebook.
Dubbed ‘Avon Beleza Vitrine’, the new portal will alow the company to promote its products and facilitate communication with its resellers. Customers will be able to ‘like’ Avon products and also order them by creating a wish list which they can share with the reseller.
Luiz Soares, Director of Innovation and Contact Centre, claimed that the virtual shop “adds social commerce to the multichannel Avon experience, increasing social engagement, generating knowledge of online products and increasing sales”.
The move is part of a global programme through which Avon is aiming to encourage greater interaction with resellers through digital channels, as well as to expedite online sales and ordering.
