Royal A-ware, a Dutch dairy conglomerate, has announced plans to The Dairy Food Group, a Belgian manufacturer of branded and private label dairy products.
The acquisition is said to include fresh milk supplier Belgian Milk Company, dairy desserts business Eurodesserts, whipped cream specialist Incopack, rice dessert maker Incorock, and Limelco, a producer of fromage frais and associated dairy products.
The deal is part of Royal A-ware’s business strategy to expand its dairy operations in Belgium, which it described as the company’s “second domestic market”.
Jan Anker, CEO of Royal A-ware Food Group, commented: “Once the acquisition process is complete, we can optimise our milk processing operation in Belgium even further and so work on making supply chains even more efficient. We will also be able to offer our customer base an even wider product portfolio”.
Provided that the acquisition is approved by authorities, Royal A-ware expects the transaction to be completed by the end of 2024.
