Australia-based food producer Patties Foods is launching a range of pies in partnership with winemaker Andrew Peace Wines under the Herbert Adams name.
The new range is described as being made using wines from the Andrew Peace Wines range, which are produced in the Swan Hill region of Victoria. Labelled Herbert Adams Gourmet Wine Infusions, the line is available in the varieties Slow-Cooked Beef with Caramelised Onion & Cabernet Sauvignon, Slow-Cooked Beef with Shiraz and Cracked Pepper and Slow-Cooked Beef with Portobello Mushroom and Merlot.
Commenting on the launch, Patties Foods general manager of innovation Anand Suruipal said: “Herbert Adams decided to combine wine and pie together after talking and listening to customers for over 12 months. We saw a great alignment between red wine and a premium dinner meal and we thought – why not enjoy that luxury at home? In response, we developed a range of flavours which consumers have said taste delicious!”
The pies are sold in two packs with a recommended retail price of 6.70 AUD ($5.08) and are available now at Woolworths, Coles and Coles Express convenience stores.
