French dairy firm Savencia Fromage & Dairy has announced the acquisition of Sucesores de Alfredo Williner, one of the major players in the dairy market in Argentina.
In a press release, Savencia Fromage & Dairy said the investment would enrich the company’s portfolio in the country, in particular through the traditional Ilolay brand, as well as giving it access to an established distribution network. Founded in 1928, Sucesores de Alfredo Williner is described as a market major player, collecting and processing milk at its manufacturing plants located in the province of Santa Fe.
“This acquisition strengthens Savencia Fromage & Dairy’s presence in Argentina where the Group is established with its heritage and local brands Milkaut, Santa Rosa and Adler”, commented Olivier Delaméa, managing director of Savencia Fromage & Dairy.
The deal is subject to approval by local authorities. Financial details were not disclosed.
