Co-op, the British consumer cooperative and food retailer, has launched a new range of ‘GLP-1 friendly’ ready meals, reportedly becoming the first UK convenience retailer to specifically target shoppers using weight-loss medications.
Marketed under the new Good Fuel health-oriented sub-brand, the range debuted in stores on 7th January 2026. The launch includes four “mini meals” (250g) designed for users of treatments such as Wegovy and Ozempic, who often experience significantly reduced appetites. The portion-controlled dishes, priced at £3.50 ($4.45), are high in protein and fibre to help maintain muscle mass and satiety.
The lineup features global flavours including Chicken & Sweet Potato Penang Curry, Chicken & Courgette Alfredo Pasta and a vegetarian Butternut Squash, Beans & Grains pot.
Nicole Tallant, retail trading director at Co-op, stated: “There is a growing need to cater for smaller appetites with meals that provide the quality without so much of the quantity. This whole new range is aimed at supporting shoppers’ wellbeing in a meaningful, accessible and convenient way”.
