Gama spoke to Enrico Zannini, General Manager, BolognaFiere Cosmoprof, ahead of the latest edition of the beauty tradeshow.
What are your expectations for Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2026??
We expect Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2026 to further strengthen its role as a global business hub for the beauty industry. The event continues to attract exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, confirming its unique international reach.
After the record edition of 2025, which registered a 21% increase in first-time attendees compared to 2024, we are confident that our ongoing investments in international promotional activities will continue to deliver strong results. The 2026 dates, scheduled outside the Ramadan period, will also allow us to welcome an even broader participation from Middle Eastern markets.
In a context of global uncertainty, Cosmoprof’s international scope helps companies diversify their target countries, strengthening their global strategies and building resilient networks.

What new industry segments or zones are being introduced at this year’s show?
The 2026 edition will feature an expanded layout designed to encourage business meetings and discovery. Alongside the new Cosmetics Stage in Hall 36, we are introducing the Cosmopack Stage, both dedicated to commercial pitches, institutional presentations, and trend analyses.
These new stages will host conferences, product launches, and educational content for professionals across the supply chain. They join our well-established areas such as the Extraordinary Gallery, Beauty Tech, and CosmoTalks, offering a more comprehensive and integrated visitor experience.
How is the event capturing trends around inclusive beauty and wellness?
Inclusive beauty and wellness are at the core of Cosmoprof’s vision. Through its cross-sector structure — from ingredients and packaging at Cosmopack to finished products at Cosmo Perfumery & Cosmetics, Cosmo Hair & Nail & Beauty Salon — the event provides a holistic overview of the industry, encouraging innovation that meets the diverse needs of consumers worldwide.
Editorially, we support these values with educational content such as Cosmofactory Podcast and Cosmo Insights, which explore market trends, new consumer behaviours, and best practices in inclusivity and well-being.
What’s new in the sustainability or packaging innovation space at Cosmoprof this year?
Sustainability remains a strategic priority for both Cosmoprof and the exhibiting companies. The Cosmopack Stage will be the ideal platform to showcase eco-friendly materials, circular packaging solutions and innovative production technologies.
We are also strengthening collaborations with research institutes and trend agencies to provide professionals with insights into responsible innovation and sustainable design, enhancing the event’s role as a bridge between creativity and technology.
Are you seeing increased participation from new regions or emerging beauty markets?
Yes, definitely. Cosmoprof 2025 welcomed visitors from over 150 countries, with 29 national collectives exhibiting — each with distinct formats and goals, from Europe to Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. For 2026, our Incoming Buyer Program will also focus on Saudi Arabia, supported by dedicated scouting and promotional activities.
These efforts confirm Cosmoprof’s position as a key internationalisation tool for companies, helping them meet new partners, explore emerging markets and reinforce their global strategies. At the same time, the Made in Italy narrative will be central in 2026, highlighting Italian excellence — a symbol of beauty, luxury, and quality recognized worldwide.
