Brella Beverage, a USA-based manufacturer of functional and spirits-based beverages, has announced the acquisition of the spirits brand portfolio of Chicago Distilling Company, an Illinois-based craft distillery.
The transaction includes the acquisition of the Ceres Vodka and Finn’s Gin brands. According to Brella Beverage, the deal is intended to strengthen its footprint in the craft spirits and ready-to-drink (RTD) categories. Chicago Distilling Company is known for its “grain-to-glass” production philosophy, utilizing locally sourced ingredients from Illinois farms. This acquisition is part of Brella Beverage’s ongoing strategy to diversify its offerings beyond its core functional beverage lines.
Commenting on the acquisition, Brella Beverage CEO David JG Smith stated: “We are thrilled to welcome the Chicago Distilling Company brands into the Brella family. This acquisition aligns perfectly with our vision of providing high-quality, authentic beverage experiences to our customers. We look forward to building on the incredible foundation established by the DiPrizio family and taking these brands to new heights.”
The acquisition marks a further expansion for the company into the premium spirits sector, following its entry into the ready-to-drink market with the launch of its Brella-branded canned cocktails last year.
