Canada: Lactalis Canada to acquire dessert manufacturer Marie Morin

Lactalis Canada, a subsidiary of French dairy giant Lactalis, has announced the acquisition of dessert manufacturer Marie Morin Canada for an undisclosed sum.

With the transaction, Lactalis Canada will enter the dessert category in the Canadian and US markets. The acquisition includes a production facility of premium desserts in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville, Québec and 52 employees who will join Lactalis Canada’s workforce.
