Portuguese brand of sauces and seasonings Paladin, owned by Mendes Goncalves, has announced the launch of a new product: a piri piri hot sauce with cannabis.
According to sources, the hot sauce is produced with the seeds of Cannabis sativa L., an ingredient of natural origin that is now trending worldwide and is being increasingly used in food products.
Available under the brand Paladin Sacana, the company commented that the product “is completely legal and it was produced in accordance with national standards for the use of the Cannabis sativa L. species in food, thus not having any percentage of THC in its formula or any contraindication”.
The piri piri sauce with Cannabis joins the line of piri piri sauces that comprises the following variants: Classic, Extra-Hot, Lemon, Ai Ai (‘Ouch Ouch’), Garlic & Bay Leaf, and Portuguese Style Habanero.
The new sauce has an RRP of €2.99 for a 75ml bottle.
