Global retailer Spar has announced a partnership with Guizhou Heli Supermarket Group, a well-known retailer that operates over 100 supermarkets, shopping centres, and department stores in Guizhou, China.
The partnership has been in place since 1 July 2021 and will enable Spar to grow, by expanding into the Guizhou province.
The partnership will allow, according to Spar’s press release, Guizhou Heli to keep focusing on the local market, whilst collaborating with Spar to create a ‘world-class’ shopping experience featuring Spar’s multiformat strategy, throughout the 88 regions of Guizhou.
Mr. Wang Peihuan, chairman of Spar China, said: “We welcome Guizhou Heli Supermarket Group to join SPAR family. The new partnership marks another step to further grow Spar in China. We look forward to supporting Guizhou Heli in creating excellent shopping experience for customers, utilising home and abroad resources, strengths in large scale and supply chains, as well as our multi-format retail strategy”.
Spar has been operating in China since 2004, being present in eight provinces: Shandong, Guangdong, Beijing, Sichuan, Henan, Hebei, Yunnan and Guizgou.
