US-based Hispanic foods manufacturer Cacique has announced that the company is building an $88 million dairy processing facility in Amarillo, Texas, USA.
According to sources, the construction of the new 200,000 sq. ft facility has already started and the decision to build the new plant was driven by the need to meet the growing demand for their market-leading products, such as Mexican style cheeses, cremas, and yoghurts.
The ‘state-of-the-art manufacturing facility’ will increase the company’s production capacity and Cacique also plans to increase R&D to create innovative products and to continue to grow sustainably.
The manufacturer has received an investment earlier this year, to accelerate its growth nationwide, by the Boston-based investment manager The Baupost Group.
The company plans to start operations on Autumn 2022 and to create 200 full-time jobs.
