Plant-based manufacturer Meatless Farm has raised $31 million to support expansion plans in the UK, Europe, the US, and Asia, according to a FoodBev report.
The funds will reportedly be used to expand the brand in existing markets, grow the business to new regions, add more products to the portfolio, and further develop manufacturing in Canada.
Founded in 2018, Meatless Farms operates in Leeds (UK), Amsterdam (Netherlands), New York (USA) and Singapore and is reportedly planning to expand global operations whilst also looking to participate in mergers and acquisitions of smaller plant-based companies.
Commenting on the move, Morten Toft Bech, founder of Meatless Farm, said: “We are seeing strong demand for our plant-based burgers, sausages and mince across all markets and see fantastic opportunities to grow the Meatless Farm brand rapidly as people look to eat more healthily and sustainably”.
