USA: United Sports Brands to acquire Glukos Energy

Sporting goods firm United Sports Brands has announced the acquisition of Glukos Energy, a manufacturer of energy supplements.

Glukos Energy provides the “ultimate source of natural energy” for athletes, offering a range of high-glucose such as drinks, gels, and chewable tablets, reportedly allowing its consumers to achieve high levels of performance.

Michael Magerman, president and CEO of United Sports Brands said: “We believe that Glukos’ commitment to delivering clean, fast and delicious energy aligns with United Sports Brands’ commitment to helping athletes perform their best”.

Roberto Gutierrez, director of brand marketing of United Sports Brands, added: “This acquisition provides the Glukos Energy brand access to the resources and infrastructure that will allow it to expand and grow while continuing to provide the best sports nutrition products on the planet”.

Glukos Energy is the fifth brand added to the United Sports Brands portfolio.
