Independent UK food and drink wholesaler Bestway has announced the sale of 37 outlets across the country, in line with its strategy of reducing its overall store footprint, according to a Kam City report.
Dawood Pervez, managing director of Bestway Wholesale, said: “We remain committed to corporate stores and would still be operating c.140 stores further to 37 stores changing ownership. We do expect a large number of these stores to remain within our supply. The process is being undertaken to ensure that our estate is in the best possible shape for our format ambitions”.
Bestway operates a number of UK off licence and convenience store chains, including Bargain Booze, Wine Rack, Select Convenience, and Central Convenience.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co will be responsible for handling the deal.
