UK independent food and drink wholesaler Bestway has announced the sale of 37 stores across the country.
The company is one of the largest wholesalers in the United Kingdom, owning several store chains such as Bargain Booze, Wine Rack, Select Convenience, and Central Convenience.
According to sources, this sale is part of the plan of the company to reduce the number of its operating stores.
Dawood Pervez, managing director of Bestway Wholesale, said: “We remain committed to corporate stores and would still be operating c.140 stores further to 37 stores changing ownership. We do expect a large number of these stores to remain within our supply. The process is being undertaken to ensure that our estate is in the best possible shape for our format ambitions”.
Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co will be responsible to handle the deal.
