Brand collective LiveKindly Co. has announced the acquisition of the Swedish plant-based meat brand Oumph for an undisclosed sum.

Founded in 2015 by Food for Progress company, Oumph is a brand of meatless products and meals with a strong emphasis on the climate impact.

According to sources, this acquisition will allow LiveKindly to become “one of the world’s largest plant-based food companies at scale and at speed,” accelerating product innovation through the Oumph brand.

Kees Kruythoff, CEO and chairman of LiveKindly Co., said: “The LiveKindly Co is leading a movement to build a more sustainable future through our portfolio of brands. Bringing Oumph into the family was a natural next step for us. Their commitment to plant-based food quality and protecting the planet mirrors our own as we accelerate our mission to make plant-based eating the new normal”.
