USA: MegaMex Foods and Herdez to announce new licensing agreement

MegaMex Foods, a Mexican food joint venture of Herdez and Hormel Foods, has announced a new licensing agreement with UTZ Quality Foods to manufacture, market and distribute Herdez branded tortilla chips and pork rinds to retailers in the US.

According to the company, the partnership between MegaMex Foods and UTZ will speed up the entry of Hispanic snacks into the US market.

The agreement will bring a number of varieties of Herdez tortilla chips and pork rinds to consumers, including Regular, Chilli Lime and Hot & Spice pork rinds, as well as new white, yellow and blue Herdez tortilla chips.
